Dr. Yehia Mohammed Safwat is a Professor of Surgery, Cairo University (Kasr Al Aini), and is one of the leading breast surgeons in Egypt.
He graduated from Port Saied School Zamalek in 1976, then from the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, graduating among the top 2% of his class in 1982. He received parts of his training in, Kasr Al Aini Hospitals, Baylor College of Medicine in Houston TX, Mount Sinai Hospital New York, and the National Cancer institute in Cairo. He supervises several research projects related to the most up-to-date therapeutic modalities of breast diseases.
Dr. Yehia specializes in all types of breast diseases including, pain, infections, nipple discharge, and performs state of the art surgeries for tumors including lumpectomy, oncoplastic surgery, conservative mastectomy with reconstruction and sentinel lymph node biopsy. He is supported by an outstanding team of radiologists, internists, anesthesiologists, pathologists, oncologists, psychologists and psychiatrists.
