Dr. Abdel Maguid Ramzy

Dr. Abdel Maguid Ramzy is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cairo University, a position he has held since 2002. He is widely recognized as a leading authority in infertility, assisted reproduction (IVF), and gynecologic endocrinology, with more than 30 years of clinical and academic experience.
Between 1991 and 2001, Dr. Ramzy completed advanced international training at renowned centers including Kiel University (Germany), Emanuel Hospital, Oregon (USA), the European Surgical Institute in Hamburg (Germany), and Birmingham Women’s Hospital (UK). He was among the first Egyptian physicians to apply Assisted Reproductive Technology (IVF) in 1987.
Dr. Ramzy has personally managed and treated over 15,000 infertility cases, utilizing both medical and surgical approaches, including ovulation induction, endoscopy, and advanced ART techniques. He is particularly experienced in managing ovulation disorders, irregular menstruation, obesity-related infertility, hyperandrogenism, and delayed conception.
He has held several senior leadership roles in professional societies, including Vice President of the International Association of Maternal and Neonatal Health (IAMANEH), Secretary General of the Egyptian Society of Maternal and Neonatal Health, and Committee Member of the Egyptian Ministry of Health’s Pharmaceutical Policy Committee.
Academically, Dr. Ramzy has published extensively in international journals and has served as a peer reviewer and editorial board referee for leading publications such as Human Reproduction, Human Reproduction Update, The Lancet – Middle East, and multiple regional and international OB-GYN journals. He is a frequent instructor and speaker at national and international ART workshops, and is regarded as a reference physician in infertility and assisted reproduction.
