Dr. Abdel Maguid Ramzy

Dr. Abdel Maguid Ramzy is a Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cairo University (since 2002). Between 1991 & 2001 he had advanced training at the University of Kiel, Germany, Emanuel Hospital, Oregon, USA, European Surgical Institute, Hamburg, Germany, and Birmingham Woman’s Hospital, UK. He held several professional medical society positions including Vice President of the International Association of Maternal and Neonatal Health (IAMANEH) (2006), Secretary General of the Egyptian Society of Maternal and Neonatal Health (2004), and Committee Member of the Government Ministry of Health-Pharmaceutical Policy Committee (2006). Dr. Ramzy has numerous publications in international journals and has held the position of scientific journal editorial board referee for The Lancet-Middle East (Editorial Board), The Journal of the Jordanian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (Referee), Human Reproduction (Referee), Human Reproduction Update (Referee), The Middle East Fertility Society Journal (Referee), The Journal of the Egyptian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (Referee). Dr. Abdel Maguid Ramzy has vast experience in dealing with problems of delayed conception (pregnancy). He has experience in both medical and surgical treatment modalities of infertility, which entails treatment of ovulation abnormalities. He is also one of the first Egyptian physicians to apply Assisted Reproductive Technology (IVF) in 1987. With over 30 years of experience in IVF and treating over 15,000 cases, he has participated in ART workshops as an instructor both nationally and internationally. Dr. Abdel Maguid Ramzy is a well known reference physician in this area. He is an expert in managing problems with ovulation dysfunction, irregular menstruation, obesity, excessive hair growth, and infertility.
