Dr. Ahmed Adel Elamragy

Associate Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at Cairo University

Dr. Ahmed Adel Elamragy is an Associate Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at Cairo University and a highly experienced consultant in advanced cardiology and interventional cardiac care. He currently serves as Head of the Adult Cardiology Department at Al Nas Hospital and Director of the Non-Invasive Cardiac Laboratory at Dar Al Fouad Hospital. He is a member of both the Egyptian Society of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology.

Dr. Elamragy has held multiple senior leadership positions across major cardiac centers, including Medical Director at Al Nas Hospital, Director of Cardiac Catheterization at Kasr Al-Ainy, Nile Badrawy Hospital, and the Arab Contractors Medical Center, as well as Director of the Intensive Coronary Care Unit (ICCU) at the Arab Contractors Medical Center. He is also the Founder and Former Director of the Heart Failure and Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) Program at the Aswan Heart Center.

Academically active, Dr. Elamragy has organized and chaired numerous local and international cardiovascular workshops and scientific sessions, and has published in several peer-reviewed international journals. He played a key role in developing the Interventional Cardiology curriculum for the Egyptian Fellowship Program.

Clinically, Dr. Elamragy is a highly skilled interventional cardiologist, with extensive experience in diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterization, including emergency coronary interventions. His expertise spans complex coronary disease, structural and valvular heart interventions, adult congenital heart disease, and advanced heart failure therapies. He is internationally certified in Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), offering minimally invasive alternatives to open-heart surgery.

Dr. Elamragy strongly believes that “prevention is better than cure” and practices a heart-team–based approach, ensuring that each patient receives individualized care aligned with the latest international guidelines.
