Dr. Ahmed Reda Awadein, MD, FRCS (Glas), is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmic Surgery and Medicine at Cairo University. He earned his Doctorate degree from Cairo University in 2003 and completed his Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2004.
In 2006, Dr. Awadein undertook advanced clinical fellowship training at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Maryland, USA, where he received intensive hands-on medical and surgical training in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. He is a recognized specialist in this field and has performed over 5,000 strabismus surgeries, including complex and recurrent cases.
Dr. Awadein has authored numerous international publications in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus and has contributed to innovation in clinical assessment by developing a computerized test for evaluating diplopia. He is actively involved in medical education and has participated as an instructor and speaker at several national and international ophthalmology conferences.
