Dr. Ahmed Shoukry
Consultant Surgeon & Laparoscopist
Dr. Ahmed Shoukry is a Consultant General Surgeon and Laparoscopist with advanced expertise in surgical oncology, bariatric (obesity) surgery, and minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures. He graduated with honors from Cairo University, where he completed his residency training in general surgery and earned his Master’s degree with honors.
Dr. Shoukry pursued further specialized training in the United States at Union Memorial Hospital, focusing on surgical oncology and laparoscopic surgery. He later completed his higher surgical training and obtained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS Ed).
He currently serves as Head of Surgery at Al Salam Oncology Center and Chief of the Laparoscopic Surgery Unit, where he leads advanced minimally invasive surgical programs. His clinical practice emphasizes laparoscopic management of cancer, bariatric surgery in all its forms, and a wide range of complex laparoscopic procedures, with a focus on safety, precision, and optimal recovery.
