Dr. Amira El-Shennawy

Dr. Amira El-Shennawy is an Assistant Professor of Audiological Medicine at Cairo University and a highly experienced consultant in hearing and balance disorders. She earned her Doctorate in Audio-Vestibular Medicine in 2004 and has extensive clinical expertise in adult and pediatric hearing assessment, as well as neonatal hearing screening.

Dr. El-Shennawy specializes in the prescription and fitting of hearing aids for both adults and children, and has broad experience in the evaluation and management of dizziness and balance disorders. She is particularly recognized for her long-standing expertise in cochlear implant selection, fitting, and rehabilitation, providing comprehensive care for both pediatric and adult patients since 1998.

She has served as Vice President of the Cochlear Implant Unit at Cairo University since 2007, playing a key role in advancing cochlear implant services and training. Her international exposure includes specialized training at the University of Freiburg, Germany, and participation in multiple cochlear implant workshops in Spain and Austria.

Dr. El-Shennawy is actively involved in audiology conferences and academic research, with several publications in local and international scientific journals. At Oasis Clinics, she provides evidence-based, patient-centered hearing care aimed at improving communication, balance, and quality of life.
