Dr. Amira El-Shennawy

Dr. Amira Maged El Shenawy is an Assistant Professor of Audiological Medicine at Cairo University. She received her doctorate degree in Audio Vestibular medicine in 2004. She is an experienced consultant in hearing assessment and management of adults, children and in neonatal hearing screening. She specializes in hearing aid prescription and fitting of both adults and pediatric patients. She is also experienced in assessment and management of dizzy patients. Dr. Amira is highly specialized in cochlear implant selection, fitting and rehabilitation of both adults and children since 1998. She is the vice president of the Cochlear Implant Unit Cairo University since 2007. She also had training at the University of Freiburg, Germany in 2001 and attended several cochlear implant workshops in Spain and Austria. Dr. Amira has shared in organizing and participating in several Audiological conferences and has several publications in local and international journals.
