Dr. Amr El Meliegy
Professor of Andrology, Sexology & STDs at Cairo University
Dr. Amr El Meliegy is a Professor of Andrology, Sexology, and Sexually Transmitted Diseases at Cairo University, and a leading authority in male sexual health and reproductive medicine. He graduated from Cairo University Medical School in 1984 and completed a fellowship in Male Sexual Function, Reproduction, and Microsurgery at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, USA, followed by a visiting clinician role at UCSF focusing on male sexual dysfunction.
Dr. El Meliegy earned his Doctorate in Andrology, Sexology & STDs in 1993 and later received the Fellowship of the European Society for Sexual Medicine (FECSM) in 2012. He is the founder and first president of the Middle East Society for Sexual Medicine (MESSM) and currently chairs the Public Policy Committee of the International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM).
A prolific researcher, Dr. El Meliegy has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications in leading international journals, including the International Journal of Impotence Research and the Journal of Sexual Medicine.
