Dr. Mohamed Kotb
Professor & Former Head of Dermatology at Al Azhar University.
Dr. Mohamed Kotb is a Professor of Dermatology and former Head of the Dermatology Department at the Faculty of Medicine, Al-Azhar University. He obtained his Doctorate in Dermatology in 1990 and has since built a distinguished academic and clinical career in the diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases.
Dr. Kotb is a member of the Egyptian Society of Dermatology and Venereology and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology. He has authored numerous local and international scientific publications in dermatology and laser therapy, and has supervised more than 200 theses in the fields of dermatology and dermatologic laser treatments.
In 1993, Dr. Kotb completed advanced training in laser therapy in Nice, France, strengthening his expertise in modern dermatologic technologies. His clinical practice focuses on evidence-based diagnosis and management of skin disorders in accordance with the latest international guidelines. He also has a special interest in dermatologic aesthetics, including skin rejuvenation, laser treatments, and cosmetic procedures such as botulinum toxin and dermal filler injections.
In addition to his academic and clinical work, Dr. Kotb serves as an arbitrator for the State Incentive Award for Medical Sciences, reflecting his recognized standing in the medical community.
