Dr. Mona Abdel Razek
Professor of Clinical Genetics & Head of the Metabolic Clinic
Dr. Mona Abdel Razek is a Professor of Clinical Genetics and Head of the Metabolic Clinic at the Medical Research Centre of Excellence, National Research Centre (NRC). She is a leading expert in metabolic disorders and clinical nutrition, with extensive experience in designing personalized therapeutic diets for patients with obesity, inborn errors of metabolism (IEM), autism spectrum disorders, and uncontrolled epilepsy.
She is certified in clinical nutrition by the World Health Organization (WHO) and by Curves University, Texas, USA, and has served as a Consultant and Invited Lecturer at the National Nutrition Institute. Dr. Mona previously headed the Clinical Nutrition and Obesity Management Clinic at Dar Al Fouad Hospital.
Dr. Abdel Razek has published widely in international and national scientific journals on the genetics and management of obesity, particularly in children and adolescents, and is actively involved in public health education promoting healthy nutrition and prevention of metabolic and cardiovascular diseases.
