Dr. Mona Abdel Razek
Professor of Clinical Genetics & Head of the Metabolic Clinic
Dr. Mona Abdel Razek El Gammal is a Professor of Clinical Genetics and Head of the Metabolic Clinic, part of the Medical Research Centre of Excellency at the National Research Centre. She is experienced in constructing special diets for patients with Obesity, Inborn Errors of Metabolism (IEM), Autism and Uncontrolled Epilepsy. Dr. Mona is certified in clinical nutrition from the WHO (2005) and from Curves University, Texas, USA (2010). She has been a Consultant & Invited Lecturer at the National Nutrition Institute since July 2006. Dr. Mona is also a Member of the Egyptian Medical Association for the Study of Obesity (EMASO) since February 2006. She worked as a Consultant and Head of the Clinical Nutrition and Obesity Management Clinic at Dar Al Fouad Hospital from 2006 until 2012. Dr. Mona has numerous publications in international and national scientific journals about genetics of Obesity, Obesity Management and Obesity in Children and Adolescents. She also writes awareness articles about healthy nutrition to prevent heart diseases and prevention and management of obesity in different scientific and public magazines.
