Dr. Mona El-Akkad
Head of Audiology Unit - Faculty of Medicine -Fayoum University
Dr. Mona El-Akkad is the Head of the Audiology Unit at the Faculty of Medicine, Fayoum University. She holds an MD in Audiology from Cairo University and serves as an Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, Fayoum University.
Dr. El-Akkad has a strong academic and clinical background in diagnostic audiology and hearing disorders. Her research interests include genetic causes of hearing loss; her approved doctoral research protocol focused on “Connexin 26 Gene in Non-Syndromic Hearing Loss” at the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University.
She is known for her precise diagnostic approach, evidence-based practice, and commitment to delivering comprehensive hearing assessment and rehabilitation services for both children and adults.
