Dr. Rasha Ammar

Professor Rasha Ammar graduated in 1994 and received her masters degree in pediatrics in 1998, as well as her medical doctorate in pediatrics in 2001. Over the years she became fully experienced in the field of Neonatology and general pediatrics. Driven by an immense passion for healing hearts she became a primary operator in the echo and catheterization labs in 2001 and co-founded the first cardiomyopathy clinic in the Middle East in 2002. She became an international board certified lactation consultant in 2005 and Professor of Pediatrics at Kasr El Ainy School of Medicine, Cairo university in 2012. Professor Rasha Ammar is internationally well published and cited in her field and represents Egypt as a speaker and faculty in various elite international congresses. In September 2016, Professor Rasha Ammar was appointed director of Cairo University children’s hospital (Abu El Reesh - El Mounira). She believes that a pediatrician’s duties are to be a mother’s best friend, easing her worries and providing her with the utmost guidance to help her through her journey of motherhood.
