Dr. Shereen Aboul Naga

Dr. Shereen Hassan Aboul Naga is a Consultant Ophthalmologist with specialized expertise in uveitis and inflammatory eye diseases in both adults and children, as well as anterior segment and cataract surgery. She earned her MBBCh, MSc, and MD degrees in Ophthalmology from Kasr Al-Ainy Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, where she continues to practice clinically and academically.

Dr. Aboul Naga completed extensive international subspecialty training in Germany, including certified programs by Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, the German Society of Ophthalmology (DOG), and the International Uveitis Study Group (IUSG), in addition to multiple clinical training modules at German university hospitals. She obtained the German medical Approbation and has been licensed to practice in Germany since 2014.

During her tenure at the Kiel University Ophthalmology Clinic (2011–2013), she was actively involved in ophthalmic research. Her work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals and has received first prize and international recognition at major scientific meetings, including VNDA, DOG, and EURETINA (London). Her academic collaboration with Kiel University remains ongoing.

Dr. Aboul Naga is a member of the Egyptian Ophthalmological Society and the German Ophthalmological Society (DOG). She also serves on the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) Fellowship Board and acts as a Regional Expert for the MENA region, contributing to global ophthalmic education and training.
