Dr. Shereen Aboul Naga

Dr. Shereen Hassan Aboul Naga is a Consultant Ophthalmologist specializing in uveitis and inflammatory eye disease in both adults and children, as well as anterior segment and cataract surgery. She attained her MBBCh, MSc and MD degrees in Ophthalmology at Kasr Al Aini Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, where she continues to practice to date. Throughout her career she has completed multiple certified training programs by the Ludwig Maximillian University Munich (Germany), the German Society of Ophthalmology (DOG) as well as the International Uveitis Study Group (IUSG), in addition to several internship modules at various university clinics in Germany. Furthermore, Dr. Aboul Naga has attained the German ““Aprobation”” and is licensed to practice in Germany since early 2014. During her 2 years (2011-2013) at the Kiel University Ophthalmology Clinic (Germany) she was actively involved in ophthalmic research. Dr. Aboul Naga has since published in eminent journals, been awarded first prize and high acclaim for her work at the VNDA annual meeting, the DOG Congress and the EURETINA Congress in London (2014). Her ties to Kiel University are ongoing. Dr. Aboul Naga is a member of the Egyptian Ophthalmological Society and the German Ophthalmology Society (Deutsche Ophthalmologische Gesellschaft - DOG). She is further involved in the fellowship selection process of the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) as a member of the ICO Fellowship Board and as Regional Expert for the MENA region.
