Dr. Sherif Ahmed Khaled

Dr. Sherif Ahmed Khaled is a Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Cairo University and a highly respected specialist in joint replacement surgery (hip, knee, and shoulder), pelvic and acetabular surgery, and fracture management. With more than two decades of clinical and academic experience, he is widely recognized for his expertise in complex orthopedic reconstructions and trauma care.

Dr. Khaled began his medical career in 1997 as a resident at Cairo University, obtained his MD (PhD) degree in Orthopedic Surgery in 2003, and was promoted to full Professor in 2016. He has specialized in hip and knee replacement, pelvic and acetabular surgery, and fracture fixation since 2000.

He is an active member of AO Trauma International (Association for the Study of Internal Fixation) and serves as an International Program Editor for the AO Pelvic Task Force. He is also a member of the American Academy of Hip and Knee Surgeons, a board member of the Education Committee of AO Trauma, a founding member of the Egyptian Pelvis and Hip Society, and a member of the Egyptian Orthopedic Association.

Dr. Khaled has received advanced international training, including:

• Specialized training in the USA (2001)
• Shoulder arthroplasty training at Institut de la Main, Paris (2004–2005)
• Bikini incision total hip replacement training in Belgium (2017)
• Unicompartmental knee replacement training in Oxford, UK (2018)

In addition to joint replacement and pelvic surgery, he treats a wide range of foot and ankle conditions and complex fractures. Dr. Khaled has authored 31 international publications, supervised more than 74 academic theses, and delivered over 158 national, regional, and international courses in orthopedic surgery and trauma.
