Dr. Tamer Ismail Gawdat MD, FRCSEd is a Professor of Ophthalmology at Cairo University and Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. He received his Doctorate Degree in Ophthalmology in 1999 at Cairo University and immediately after got the Ophthalmology Fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, England. He is also a Fellow of Bascom Palmer Eye Institute Miami University, USA, Member of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and Member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology Dr. Gawdat’s is specialized in anterior segment surgeries (cataract surgery) and vision correction surgeries (LASIK). His fields of expertise also entail Oculoplastic surgery (Cosmetic and Functional Eyelid Surgery, Lacrimal & Orbital Surgery). Dr. Tamer Gawdat has many publications in local and international journals. He is a regular instructor in courses held by Ophthalmology Societies.
