Dr. Tamer Gawdat

Dr. Tamer Gawdat is a Professor of Ophthalmology at Cairo University and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCSEd). He earned his Doctorate in Ophthalmology in 1999 from Cairo University, followed by advanced fellowship training in the UK and the USA.
Dr. Gawdat is a Fellow of the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, University of Miami, and a member of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ESCRS) and the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO). He specializes in anterior segment surgery, particularly advanced cataract surgery, as well as vision correction procedures including LASIK.
His expertise also extends to oculoplastic surgery, encompassing cosmetic and functional eyelid surgery, lacrimal system surgery, and orbital surgery. Dr. Gawdat has authored numerous publications in local and international ophthalmology journals and is a regular instructor in professional ophthalmology courses and scientific meetings.
